Carla J. Van Roy, age 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, WI, on October 5, 2026, after a 5-year battle with cancer. Carla was born in Green Bay, WI, on July 24, 1977, to Edmund “Butch” and Carolyn (Jauquet) Van Roy-Johnson.

Carla spent most of her life in the Green Bay area and graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1995. She received a BS in Business Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Carla worked for over 20 years at Wisconsin Public Service, but her passion lies elsewhere, so she changed her career to social work, earning her MSW from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2020. Carla worked the Suicide Hotline and later became a substance abuse counselor. She found her true calling by helping others with their mental health. She was a strong supporter of the LGBT community. She loved her time playing darts with the Rainbow Dart League in Green Bay.

Her friends and family remember her smile and generous spirit the most. She always kept a smile through all challenges she faced. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knows her.

Carla is survived by her daughter, Autumn Rank; brothers, Chuck (Debbie)Van Roy and Paul (Erika)Van Roy; sister, Rose Fast; stepbrother, Jim Johnson; nephews, Eddie and Bobby Van Roy; nieces, Emily Van Roy, Abbigael Van Roy and JoJo Van Roy; Godmother Vicki Tegtman and many uncles, aunts and cousins. She is further survived by a special crew of friends, including Tara Busch, Dawn Craft, Sarah Reese, and many other close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Butch and Carolyn Van Roy, stepfather Jim Johnson, grandparents Calvin and Barbara Van Roy, and Harry and Bertha Jauquet, and many uncles and aunts.

Family and friends may call to Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere, WI 54115 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, with a short memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
