Carmellia E. Nicholson, 64, of Wausaukee passed away on Monday evening at a Green Bay Hospital. She was born May 7, 1945 in Green Bay to the late Corneil and Estherleen (Doxtator) Smith. On September 22, 1967 she married Paul Nicholson in Bluffton, Indiana. Mrs. Nicholson was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and playing cards. She also collected Elvis memorabilia and porcelain dolls.
She is survived by her companion Clarence Jicha, her children: 4 daughters and 2 sons; Kim Spindlow, Cassandra (Rodney Werner) Nicholson, Kristina (Terry) Dickerson, Jolene (Travis Johnson) Nicholson, Paul J. Nicholson, and Joseph (Trish Senn) Nicholson. Carmellia is further survived by her grandchildren, Jenna, Krysten, Karyssa, Masen, Jadon, Landen, Aaron, Travis Jr., Monique, Jozelyn, Joey, Jessi, Justine, Bradley, Joshua, Rodney Jr., Alyssa (John), Nikita, and Stewart. Her two great grandchildren Sayje and Michael further survive as well as her brothers; David Smith, and Robin Spindlow.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her son Paul Edward, as well as her 2 sisters; Beverly Marlewski, Winnifred Howard and her two brothers Alvin Smith and Joseph Spindlow.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday January 25, 2010 at 11am at the Oneida Assembly of God Cemetery (behind the church) N731 Olson Road and Hwy 54 in Oneida with Pastor Lonnie Johnson officiating.
