Carol Aland, 76, of Green Bay, died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at a local nursing home. Carol was born on December 24, 1932 and her parents were Muriel and LeRoy Ehlers and Mildred and Fred Kocha. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy. Carol married Clem Aland on September 20, 1952 in Green Bay. She and Clem were very proud of their receiving the Wisconsin Volunteer Award. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing the piano, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club.
Carol is survived by nieces and nephews, Beverly, David (Kathy), Shirley Servais, Susan (Geoff) Anderson, Jerry (Judy) Langlay, Janice Danhausen, Nancy (Tom) Gerondale, Mary (Doug) Stewart. Sandy (Arie) De Waal. Two sisters-in-law, Delores Aland, De Pere, Evelyn Langlay, Green Bay; special great nephew, Tony (Brenda) Servais of Sheboygan, as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister-in-law, Irene M. Servais, brother-in-laws, Walter F. Servais, Cletus Langlay, and Francis Aland, as well as well as her mother and father-in-law, Charles and Elizabeth Aland.
Family and friends may call after 3:00 pm on Tuesday December 8, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Avenue and Suburban Drive, De Pere. Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday at the St. Michael Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with Father Tim Shillcox, O. Praem., officiating.
