Carol J. Baeten, 76, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, Janurary 28, 2015. She was born September 24, 1938 in Green Bay to the late George and Margaret (Clowry) Stutleen. She was a graduate of Green Bay West. On August 5, 1961 she married Tom Baeten at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay, where she was a lifelong member. Carol worked for Camera Art for many years, and volunteered for Love Life, a ministry through her parish. She loved to quilt, crochet and knit, and donated much of her work to children in need throughout the area. Carol was an avid bowler, and enjoyed photography. She spent her summers at the cottage on White Potato Lake, but above all loved following her grandchildren's school and sporting events.
Carol is survived by her children; Tom (Amy) Baeten, De Pere, Jean (Tom) Verboncouer, Dykesville, Peggy (Kent) Taylor, Krista Baeten, and Linda (Tony) Chosa, all of Green Bay. Her 11 grandchildren further survive; Matt (Courtney), Alycia, Samantha, Alec, Austin, Derek, Lachlan, Reese, Mitch, Elaine, and Thomas, along with her two great grandchildren, Birklee and Crew, and her sister, Janet (Hank) Ashton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her granddaughter; Hannah Johnson.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 12:00 Noon 3:30pm Sunday. A Prayer Service will take place at 3:30pm to bring the afternoon to a close. Visitation will continue after 10:00am Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church 936 9th Street, Green Bay. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Ryan Starks as the Celebrant. Burial will take place in Ft. Howard Memorial Park. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to express online condolences.
