Carol Lewis, 63, De Pere, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. The daughter of the late Edwin and Doris (Lewis) Charlier was born on September 6, 1951 in Green Bay, WI. On March 23, 2002 she married James Lewis at Suamico United Methodist Church. Carol loved flowers, playing cards and yard games, going to thrift stores and rummage sales, fishing, cooking, her dog, Toto, and bonfires. She enjoyed all of these things most when they were done with friends and family. Carol was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend who always did for others before doing for herself.
Carol will be missed deeply by her husband, James; her children, Jason (Michelle) Dahlke, Michelle (Brad) Barfield; step-children, Lisa Lewis, Shelly Lewis, Jesse (Sheryl Lorenze) Lewis, Amy (Wes) Johnson; grandchildren, Madison Barfield, Chase and Aubree Dahlke; step-grandchildren, Autumn (Donny) Gerrits; Maryiah and Hailey Meyer, Mercedes and Stormey Kocken, Dylan Lewis, Gage Mckee, RJ Lewis. She is further survived by three step-great grandchildren, with one on the way; siblings, Bonnie (Don) Wusterbarth-Forgette, Eddie (Judy) Charlier, Bobby (Cyndy) Charlier, Barb (Rich) Stevenson, Pat (Chris) Charlier; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and William Charlier; as well as grandpa Ray.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Sunday, August 16 beginning at 3:00pm. A parish prayer service will take place at 7:00pm to close the evening. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 17 at St. Mary Catholic Community, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview starting at 9:30am. At 11:00am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Fr.
