Carole M. McVane, 81, Hobart, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 26, 2012, with her family at her side. She was born December 1, 1930 the daughter of the late Harvey and Marie (Parezik) Peterson. On June 9, 1973 she married James McVane. Carole was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Oneida. Carole loved camping, travelling, gardening, fishing, cooking, canning, and her ability to supervise all the above. She also had a great sense of humor. Her greatest love was her family and friends and the adventures she took with them wherever they travelled. Carole is survived by her husband James; children: Kathy Van De Yacht, Jeff (fiance Donna) Youngs, and Mark (Roxann) Youngs; step children: James (Jana) McVane, Barbara (Larry) Jarosinski, and Barry (fiance Deb) McVane; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings and nieces; and her beloved dog Sassy. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family may call on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Parish, Oneida, 145 St. Joseph Dr, Oneida. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Katamaba officiating and Deacon Everett "Bobby" Doxtator assisting. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd.
