Obituary

Catherine “Cathie” M. Puyleart, 77, passed away Sunday evening, July 26, 2026.

She was born on September 13, 1948, to the late Willard and Marguerite (Achten) De Vos.

On December 16, 1967, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Mike Puyleart.

Cathie served for many years as the parish secretary at Old St. Joseph Catholic Church, on the St. Norbert College campus. In her free time, she enjoyed Cross Stitching for family and friends, making porcelain nativity sets, and playing board games. She and Mike are long time members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere.

Cathie is survived by her husband Mike, their children; Eric (Jodi) Puyleart, Scott Puyleart, and Michelle (Ian) Nicoud. Her grandchildren; Zach (Lexi), Meghan (Brennan), Lillian, and Stella. Her great grandchildren, Thomas, Jace, Anastasia, Greyson, and Rowyn. Her siblings, Bob (Durell) De Vos, Keith (Monica Winter) De Vos, and Patti (Tom) Steinhorst. Mike’s family; Daniel (Sandy) Puyleart, Tom Puyleart, Pat (Sue) Puyleart, Chuck (Pam) Puyleart, Steve (Sue) Puyleart, Jeff Puyleart, Tim (Camille) Puyleart, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cathie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary De Vos, sisters-in-law Kathy Puyleart, Patricia Puyleart, and her in-laws Charles and Jeanette Puyleart.

Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM – 6:00PM Monday, August 3, 2026. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1305 Lourdes Ave., De Pere beginning at 9:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
