IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlotte
Fairbairn
January 28, 1940 – July 6, 2024
Charlotte F. Fairbairn, 84, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, July 6, 2024.
She was born January 28, 1940, at home to the late Thomas and Margaret (Sigl) Eschelweck.
On May 27, 1961, she was united in marriage to Bruce Fairbairn at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Green Bay.
Charlotte worked for many years at the Lorelei Inn, Green Bay, a restaurant her parents founded. It was at the Lorelei that she met her husband, Bruce.
She was always there for others, and she and Bruce's home was a home away from home for family and friends alike. Their home was a safe comforting place for those that would visit it. Her children's childhood memories are remembered with a smile, from her over-the-top holiday gatherings to a mom that was always there for them. Charlotte, never one to sit still, was a volunteer at Heritage Hill, Scout leader, and was active in many things at the De Pere Ice Center.
She is survived by her children; Cyndie (Ken) Diny, Don (Jacki) Fairbairn, and Jim (Laura) Fairbairn. Her grandchildren; Crystal Diny, Kayla (Ryan) Kubat, Chandler, Corey (Maren) Lemke, Autumn (Tony) Gonzalez, as well as her bonus granddaughter Teresa Adler. Great grandchildren; Amelia, Sofia, Olivia, Campbell, and Ariella. Charlotte's siblings; Bud (Pam) Eschelweck, Sarah Kubiak, Betty Cegelski, Jean Kasel, and Leann Eschelweck, her sister-in-law Lea Fairbairn, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, grandson Michael Benton Fairbairn, her siblings; Mary (Rick) Colwell, Carole (Don) Proctor, David Eschelweck, Tom Eschelweck, and Bob Eschelweck. Further preceded by her brothers-in-law Jim Cegelski, Jim Kubiak, Bill Fairbairn, and sister-in-law Heather (Ken) Besaw.
Friends may call from 6:00PM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, until time of service at 8:00PM.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
