Cheryl Lee (Cornelius) Christensen, 74, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The daughter of Leland and Juanita (Powless) Cornelius was born in Green Bay on August 28, 1949.

In 1986, she married the love of her life, Richard "Jim" Christensen. He was her world, and her family has comfort in knowing they're together again. Cheryl was a force to be reckoned with. She loved big and knew exactly how to make you laugh big. She gave hugs you felt in your soul. She loved cooking, shopping, and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She hosted family get-togethers big and small, filling her home with memories to last a lifetime. Cheryl also worked for Oneida Casino for several years, retiring in 2017.

She is survived by her siblings: Ronald (Janice) Cornelius, Frederick (Theresa) Cornelius, Barbara McIntyre, Leland Cornelius Jr., Charlene (Tom Sweet) Cornelius, Denise (John) Moore, Dennis Cornelius, Sharon (John Collins) Cornelius, Carol (Angel) Colón and brother-in-law Damian Colón. She is further survived by many generations of nieces and nephews to carry on her legacy.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents; and siblings, Keith Michael Cornelius, Judith Ann Colón and brother-in-law Scott McIntyre.

At Cheryl's request, no services will be held.
