Cheryl L. (Compton) O'Keefe, 64, Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 1, 2017 surrounded by her daughters. She was born May 21, 1952, to Richard and Nancy (Rott) Compton Sr. Cheryl enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she was in the Medical Corps. Upon discharge, she attended NWTC and worked as a bookkeeper for St. Vincent's Hospital and Bay West Obstetrics until her retirement. Cheryl loved watching and cheering for the Green Bay Packers, she was a faithful fan. She loved going to her place up north, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. She was an avid computer game player and shopper. Her greatest joy though was spending time with and watching her grandchildren grow up, she was a very proud grandma. Cheryl is survived by her daughter Amy (Brock) Krebs and their children: Riley, Frederick, Henry, & Amelia; daughter Tara (Patrick) DuChateau and their children: Brett, Hailey, and Emily; daughter Tracy (David) Kruse and their children: Paige, Kaleb, and Ivy; her former husband who has a special place in her heart Tim O'Keefe; her mother Nancy Compton; her siblings: Debra (Tom) Van Rens, Cynthia Dewick, Patti (Wayne) Wickesberg, and Richard Compton, Jr.; and five nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Compton, Sr; and brother Bruce Compton. Family and friends may visit on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. John H. Harper officiating. Full Military Honors will be after Mass at church. Cheryl will be laid to rest in Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
