Cheryl M. Schmieder, 76, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at Woodside Lutheran Home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was born on August 15, 1949, in Green Bay to the late Arnold and Jacqueline (Bouche) Stache.

Cheryl attended Saint Joseph's School through eighth grade and graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1967. She had a long career working for M&I Bank, where she was known for her reliability, kindness, and steady presence. Outside of work, Cheryl found joy spending time with her large extended family, camping, playing cards, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She was a longtime member of the P&M Club and treasured the many summers spent camping throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan with them. Cheryl will be remembered for her warmth, gentle spirit, and good natured personality.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Scott (Meg) Schmieder of Green Bay and Melissa (Cory) Van Den Heuvel of De Pere; her grandchildren, Ean (Leah), Erin (Drew), Samantha, Margaret, Leo, and Ella; and her siblings, Tom (Fay) Stache, Theresa (Rob) Schmidt, Jay (Sherri) Stache, and Gary Stache. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Francis Stache; and her daughter in law, Shanon.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Cheryl's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Woodside Lutheran Home for their compassionate care over the past couple years.
