Claire M. (Myers) Bethke, 79, of Greenleaf died unexpectedly at Aurora hospital early Saturday July 10, 2010. She was born June 22, 1931 to the late Nelson D. and Hazel B. (Balch) Myers. On February 4, 1950 she married Peter H. Bethke in Rome New York. Claire was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother/great-grandmother. She loved all her children unconditionally! She had special love for each and every one of her children. She loved spending time on her knitting, could never have enough hats and mittens at grandmas house. She also loved the abundance of flowers from her children and grand children to plant in her flower garden. More than anything else her deep faith in God. Her daily study of the bible was a big part of her life and daily listener of Arnold Murray. She is survived by her children; Tim (Sherry) Bethke, Linda Bethke, Lynn and (Allen) Walker, Tom Bethke, Karen (Dan) Van De Ven, Mike Bethke, Nancy (Rick) Lemmen, Mark (Elizabeth) Bethke, Peter (Karla) Bethke, Phillip (Nanette) Bethke, Amy (Ritch) Coates, Rebecca (Dallas) Amy, Mary Yudes, Polly (Doug) Bablitch, Laura (Rob) Johnson, Matt Bethke, and Joe Bethke. Claire is further survived by 42 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren. Claire was preceded in death by her husband Peter, her daughter Katie, son; George, her granddaughter Braiden, her grandson Nicholas and her two brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm Monday July 12, 2010. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am July 13, 2010 at the funeral home until time of service at 10:00 am with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greenleaf.
