Obituary

Cleo L. (Biemeret) Schuldes, 89, De Pere, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was born in Green Bay on March 7, 1928 to Ernest and Ural (Santy) Biemeret. Cleo grew up during the Great Depression and lived in the Green Bay and Allouez area her entire life. She liked to tell about what it was like when she was young and went to visit her grandparents at their farm. On October 18, 1947, she married Carl Schuldes Jr. in Green Bay. They raised four children together. Cleo loved watching the fireworks at Bay Beach on July 4th and sunsets from the pier at Weborg Point in Peninsula State Park where she camped in her travel trailer, often by herself, for many years. She and Carl also rented a condo in Sister Bay from late June through July every year and the family would come to vacation with them. She and her late husband Carl also spent many winters vacationing on Anna Maria Island in Florida where family would come to visit them. She also loved golfing, skiing, tennis, biking and cooking. She was a great cook and passed down her recipes to her kids. She made many friends over the years and was very sociable and loved to dance. She learned how to swim when she was 40 years old and enjoyed that very much as well. Cleo had a dog, Bridget, that she loved and too many cats to list. She would take in stray cats and adopt them and at one point had 4 of them living with her. She worked at Pranges and Younkers for over twenty years at the cosmetics counter, where she made many friends. She had excellent taste in home decorating and loved her house that she built new withe her husband Carl in 1962 and lived in for 54 years, across the street from her neighbors and good friends Irene and Marlin (deceased) Zittlow. Irene continued to visit Cleo, often bringing fresh bakery with her, throughout the last years of Cleo's life. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandsons. Whether camping, having sleepovers or going to Bay Beach, they were always having fun together. Cleo is survived by her four children: Kurt (Green Bay), Karl (Green Bay), Chris (Shari) Sun Prairie and Amy (De Pere). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Noah (Sherry) Neal (De Pere), Jacob (Leanne) Neal (Twin Lakes), McKenzie (De Pere) and five great-grandchildren, Amber, Aubrey, Emma, Jack and Elliot. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, Ural "Nana," and Ernie Biemeret, her sisters Rosemary and Billie, her son-in-law Wes Neal, and by many beloved aunts and uncles including Margaret, Bink, Clede, Erie, Marie, Frank, Loni, Earl and Yvonne. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017. A short prayer service will take place at 11:00 AM.
