Clyde "Bernard" Skenandore 74, Oneida, died on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at home surrounded by family and friends after a short battle with cancer. He was born February 29, 1936 in Oneida to the late David and Josephine (Webster) Skenandore. Clyde attended Beauty Grove Elementary School. In 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gambling, traveling, spending time with nieces and nephews, and a home cooked meal. He was a huge Harry Potter fan. Survivors include his siblings; Mike Hill and Kate Stevens, his sisters in law; Dorothy J. (Artley) Skenandore, Virginia (Jerry) Skenandore, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his very special friend and caretaker Blaine Ackley. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Arnold, Artley, Jerry, and an infant brother and sister. Kristina Henning, and Deacon Deborah Heckel officiating. Full military rites will be conducted immediately following the service. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 9:30am.
