Cornelius "Cory" Hill, 79, of Oneida, died Wednesday February 29, 2012 at a local nursing home. The son of the late Albert and Jane (Baird) Hill was born on January 13, 1933. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954 with the Korean Service Medal with Four Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. On January 13, 2007, he married Patricia Powless Misikin in Green Bay.
Cory worked in the auto service industry in Southern California for many years before moving back to Oneida. He was a past commander and life-member of Robert Cornelius VFW Post 7784 and Holy Apostles Church in Oneida. Cory enjoyed fishing and bingo.
Survivors include his wife, Pat, one daughter, Mary Nell (Al) Kopka , one step-son, Joe Misikin several grandchildren, as well as Pat's family.
Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 9:00 to 10:30 am Saturday March 3, 2012. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home with Father John Cell, officiating. Oneida Veterans will accord Mr. Hill with Veterans Burial Honors following the service at the funeral home. Burial at Holy Apostles Cemetery on Saturday afternoon.
