Cornelius, "David" Smith, 75, Oneida, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 11, 2016 at home. He was born on February 7, 1941 to the late Corneal and Estherleen (Doxtator) Smith. On March 1, 1966 he married Doris Doxtator. He and Doris were members of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church. David loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. He was also known to play cribbage, grill out, talk "nasty", and watch some WWF wrestling.
He is survived by his children; Wanda (Bob) Zernike, Karen (Brian Bowser) Ninham, Faye Ninham, Cara (Ralph Tucker) Matchopatow, Sherri (Clyde) Skenandore, Lorleen (Jimmy) John, Rosa Smith, Bob (Jay) Ninham, and Don Ninham. David is further survived by 25 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. His brother Robinson Spinlow, Uncle Robert Doxtator. Foster siblings; Hazel, Emmerjean "Coot", Archie "Tucky", Ernest "Honey Bee", Ida, best buddies Charlie, Arlie, and Vic, as well as numerous nieces and nephews survive him. David was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his siblings; Bev, Winnie, Connie, Joe, and Al "Tanka", and his granddaughter Steph, and great great grandson Julius.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere after, 9:00AM on Friday, April 15., 2016.. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 10:30AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM..
