Craig Allen Suring, age 75, died peacefully at Little Chute Health Services in Little Chute, WI on August 14th, 2026, with his wife by his side. He was born in Washington, D.C., on September 14th, 1950, to Raymond Suring and Alice (Peters) Suring.

Craig grew up in Suamico, WI. He often spoke with great fondness of his childhood, riding bikes and horses, and being outdoors. Craig was a graduate of Bay Port High School. He was drafted into the Marine Corps in 1969 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. Craig married his wife, Ann (Manders) Suring, on November 8th, 1986, in De Pere, WI. Craig and Ann would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in November of this year.

Craig worked at Motion Industries as a salesman for over 40 years where he made lifelong friends. He spent many years playing in fast-pitch softball leagues and was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his dogs by his side. Craig was a gifted artist, which was evident in the beautiful carvings he made of waterfowl and songbirds, many of which he donated to Ducks Unlimited. Craig loved his family, especially spending time with them up north at “The Barn” and on Florida vacations. He never sat still for long and always kept busy with projects, especially in the yard. Craig survived many health challenges in his later life. His strength, determination, and grit were beyond admirable. While these challenges robbed Craig of many of his hobbies, nothing brought him more joy than when his three grandchildren sat with him in his recliner to read books, watch TV shows, and simply spend time with their grandpa.

Craig is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Luke Suring, Jami (Travis) Goodman, Scott (Hilary) Suring; three grandchildren, Theo, Asher, and Lucy; siblings, Janice (John) Schadrie, Frank (Kathy) Suring, Bob Suring, Alice Sue (Doug) Wiesner; brothers and sisters-in law, John (Cindy) Manders, Bill (Janean) Manders, Joe (Vicki) Manders, and Bob (Cheryl) Manders. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dog Josey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alice Suring; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Doris Manders; and brother, Larry Suring.

Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 205 N Tenth St, De Pere, WI, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19th. A short prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1305 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, WI, at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 20th, with Father James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating. Visitation will take place prior to mass on Thursday morning at church from 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM.

Craig’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice and Little Chute Health Services, along with the countless doctors, nurses, therapists, home healthcare workers, family members, and friends who have supported Craig.

Craig’s quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor will be greatly missed.
