Dale C. Wilson, 60, Townsend, passed away at home after a courageous short battle with cancer on Sunday, September 14, 2014 surrounded by his immediate family and close friend, Ernest. He was born in Green Bay on December 7, 1953 to Lawrence A. and Pauline (Metoxen) Wilson. Prior to his illness, Dale had resided in Milwaukee, WI. He attended West De Pere High School. Dale was proud of his accomplishment of being top of his class for Armored Services in target shooting. He was also an avid guitar player.
Dale is survived by his parents; his sons, Randy (Amy), Dale Jr., Walter, Tom; his daughter, Christine; his siblings, Larry (Barb), Vickey, Daniel, Debra (Jim), Diane (David), Errol, Pam (Johnie), Colleen, Dorothy (Paul); grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather; his brother, Lester (Lucky), as well as both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Close friends and family are encouraged to gather at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Friday, September 19, 2014 beginning at 4:00pm. The Oneida Hymnal Singers will perform at 6:30pm and a prayer service will take place at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 20, at the funeral home from 9:00am until 11:00am when a funeral service will be held.
