Dan M. Holland, 48, De Pere, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 after a short but courageous battle with leukemia. He was born December 3, 1969 in Iron Mountain, MI to Marshall and Phyllis "Honey" (Gorrell) Holland.
Dan graduated from Iron Mountain High School Class of 1988. He was also in the Michigan National Guard. Dan spent the last 16 years working for Saputo Cheese as a production associate.
Dan was a simple man who loved watching sports including Wrestling, but especially the Packers, the Pistons, University of Michigan, and most importantly the Chicago Cubs. Every weekend you could find Dan looking for any local band to be playing; he truly enjoyed listening and supporting them.
Dan was a man who lived in the now; he would rather see what is happening now than having to figure out what was going to happen later. His friends were always super important to him as well.
Dan is survived by his siblings: Cheryl Pietrantonio (Rob Langsford) of Iron Mountain, Rick (Susie) Holland of Iron Mountain, and Jeff Holland of Seattle, WA; his special friend Sheri Herman; and his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Phyllis.
Family and friends may visit on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Dan will be laid to rest by his parents in the Iron Mountain Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain, MI. Please visit www.ryanfh.com to send a condolence to his family.
Memorials are appreciated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org/wisconsin, if you feel even more generous the family wishes you to consider donations of blood and platelets to help others fighting leukemia.
Dan's family wants to truly show appreciation and great thanks to the staff at Green Bay Oncology, and Froedtert Cancer Center but most importantly to Dan's family and friends who visited – your time with Dan truly lifted his spirits and meant the world to him.
