IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Gene
Cassity
February 27, 1950 – July 5, 2024
Daniel G. Cassity, age 74 of Silver Cliff, WI, formerly Green Bay WI, passed away during the early morning hours of July 5th, 2024, with his wife, Rhonda by his side. Dan was born February 27th, 1950, the ninth child of ten children on the family farm, to Everett Cassity and Vivian (Ison) Cassity. The family later moved to Kenosha, WI where Dan attended Tremper High School, graduating in 1968. Dan was an accomplished football player, playing defensive tackle and voted most valuable player, by his team mates. Dan received a full scholarship and went on to play college football with Carthage College, Kenosha, WI, as an All American, All conference defensive tackle. Dan was later inducted to the Carthage College Football Hall of Fame. After college, Dan had two try outs with the NFL but in true fashion, Dan chose to "get a real job" and raise his family.
Dan's career began at the American Brass Corporation in Kenosha, WI. In 1975, Dan accepted a management position at Krueger International (KI) for the plant and operations, where he worked 26 years. Dan then traveled between WI, TX and PA to serve as the Senior Executive Vice President of sales and manufacturing at the York Company until his diagnosis of lung cancer in 1999. Through the grace of God, top notch medical care and his family's support, Dan beat cancer and enjoyed 25 more years of life.
On May 25th, 1990, Dan married the love of his life, Rhonda Kandravi. Together, they celebrated 34 years of marriage and formed a wonderful family with their four children.
Dan and Rhonda enjoyed retirement in the Northwoods of WI with the serenity of nature and the never-ending wildlife entertainment.
Dan is survived by his wife, Rhonda. Four children, Amy Vannieuwenhoven (Pete), Judd Cassity (Shannon), Lisa Anderson and Eric Anderson, (Theresa). 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan is further survived by his siblings Betty Selin (Gerald, deceased), Patricia Schmitz (William), Dorothy Arnold (Robert, deceased), Sharon Johnson (Clarence, deceased), Susan Gubernator (Jack), Sam Cassity (Kathy), Matt Cassity (Helen), and bonus sister Susan Barker VanRixel. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Everett, mother Vivian, bonus mom, Charlotte Cassity, brothers Robert (Luella) Cassity and Everett A. (Bill) Cassity and sister-n-law, Nancy Cassity.
