Obituary

Daniel Schilling, 61, of De Pere died unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday morning, March 11, 2011 at home. The son of the late Ralph and Mildred (Rempette) Schilling was born November 8, 1949 in Green Bay. Dan was a graduate of Preble High School, Class of 1967. On June 11, 1994, he married the former Cheryl Hoppe-Manders at Grace Presbyterian Church, Green Bay. Dan worked for many years at Green Bay Drop Forge Company. He was a past member of the Green Bay Moose Lodge and enjoyed shooting darts and dart league. In his early years, he enjoyed playing softball. He was an outdoorsman and loved spending time Up North hunting and fishing. He treasured spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and we all will miss his Up North Singing. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl, three children and his grandchildren: Michelle (Ted) Wagner, Briona, Marisa; Andrew (Sandra Folliard) Schilling, James; Nicole (Jeff) Hoppe, Hannah, Tyler, Logan, as well as the mother of his children, Ellie Schilling; step-children, Ann (Shane) Senn, Sean, Dylan; Scott (Tracy) Manders, Mark, Alex; Jeff Manders, Noah; Dan's siblings: Michael (Linda) Schilling, Roger (Linda) Schilling, Tom Schilling, John (Carmen) Schilling; his uncles, Ed Lukowitz, Ken (Kathy) Sisk, an aunt, Wanda Rempette, his brother-in-law Dave (Janet) Hoppe, sister-in-law Laura (Al) Prokash; as well as many cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday March 13, 2011. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am Monday at the funeral home until time of service.
