Daniel J. Secor, age 51, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, surrounded by his wife, Collette and daughter, Heather. He was born on November 11, 1966 to Esther Collins (Hintz) and the late Walter (Chub) Secor. Daniel grew up in West DePere and graduated from Crivitz High School in 1984. Following high school, Daniel joined the U.S. Army and served two and a half active years with a year and 11 months being in Germany. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Marksmanship Medal. He was a part of the Laborer's Local 330 union for 20 years. In 1994, Daniel met Collette Huth. They married on July 19, 2002 and celebrated almost 16 years of marriage. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Collette; beautiful daughter, Heather (Kevin) Kind; his mother and step-father, Bill Collins; and three grandsons: Keegan, Anthony, and Kamden. He is further survived by siblings: Mark and Lori Smies, and Don and Susan Secor; father and mother-in-law, John (Mary) Huth; brother-in-law, John Huth Jr.; nieces, Kassandra and Shannan; nephew, Tye; and many cousins, aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter, as well as daughter, Samantha. A celebration of Daniel's life will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at PLANK ROAD PUB, 1632 Mid Valley Dr, DePere with military honors being held at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ryanfh.com.
