Darlene Sue Peters, 63, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023. The daughter of Robert and Hazel Mae (Stevens) Jordan was born on March 29, 1959. On March 29, 2003, Darlene married Larry Peters.

For years, Darlene worked for the Oneida Nation Elder Services. After the birth of her children, she was a homemaker. She was a proud member of Oneida United Methodist Church and part of many dart leagues.

Darlene enjoyed music, dancing and singing karaoke with Larry. She loved wolves and going to rummage for her many collections, including wolves, dolls, plates and Native works.

She is survived by her children, Jordan (Armando) Rodriguez, Monica Mencheski and Kacci Peters; grandchildren Charlene, Madison, Kiaya, Jessie, Samuel, Marcella, Santino and Elliana; siblings, Ellie (John) Hill, Marty (Kathy) Stevens, Merline Jordan and Jeffrey (Shelly) Jentz; best friends, Kelly and Robin Moore; and Godchildren, Wyonka Skenandore and Angel Jordan.

Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter parents, Robert and Hazel Mae; husband, Larry; daughter, Crystal; grandson, Jacob; brothers, Gerald and Gary Lee; as well as Kerry Funmaker.

At Darlene's request, no services will be held. "Auntie Dar said 'If you don't want to see me when I'm alive, you don't need to see me when I'm dead.'"
