Obituary

David Glenn Evjue of Townsend, WI went home to be with the Lord and the love of his life Nancy Alice Evjue on October 28, 2021. Dave, also known as Poppi, was 85 years old when he left this earth. He often repeated wisdom shared by his grandmother, who told him that it was 'good to befriend people younger than oneself so that, when you are old, you will have plenty of friends to call upon.' Indeed, he leaves behind many dear friends, cherished relationships, and family who will never quite be the same without him. Dave grew up in Green Bay, WI, attended West High School where he played football and where his parents Glenn and LuVerne Evjue were schoolteachers. He stayed in WI and became a Badger, graduating in 1958 with a B.A. degree in Business Administration. He went on to work for Biwax Corporation and had a successful career specializing in epoxies, epoxy resins, and plastic materials. His faith was paramount, and he was very active in his church, Bonnie Brooke Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for many years. Later on in life, he became involved at Silver Birch Ranch, mentoring young kids and being a bright spot in so many peoples' lives. That is the kind of man he was, always wanting to give back and investing in other people. His loving spirit, prayers, incredible humor and wit, and his love for all things spicy will be deeply missed. We are so grateful for the love he showed to his family, and for the love that he gave to the world. He is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and LuVerne Evjue, and his wife Nancy Alice Evjue (Jordan). He is survived by his three children: James Blasco (Rebecca Valley), Carolyn Fogg (Scott Fogg), and Claudia Pruitt (Rob Ashenden); ten grandchildren: Nancy Ramer (Seth Kruckenberg), Constance Doyle (James Doyle), Noelle Blasco, Jonathan Ramer (Laura Medina), Jordan Blasco, Rachel Lautermilch (Michael Lautermilch), Audrey Blasco, Jared Blasco, Dionne Pruitt, Ian Blasco,; three great-grandchildren: Aiden Doyle, Elsie Doyle, and Lily Grace Lautermilch. Family and friends may call from 1:00pm – 3:00pm on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N 10th Street in De Pere. A service will take place at 3:00. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Silver Birch Ranch: N6120 Sawyer Lake Road, White Lake, WI 54491
