David Leiterman, 72, De Pere, passed away surrounded by his family February 25, 2011 at Woodside Lutheran Home. The son of the late Wilbur and Viola (Geurts) Leiterman was born January 6, 1939, in Green Bay. On May 13, 1961, he married Nancy Janssen at St. Joseph Church in De Pere. Dave worked for Nicolet Paper for 23 years and retired from Nabisco Cheese in 2004. Dave was a volunteer fire fighter for the Town of Lawrence for 25 years. He also liked to fish and hunt. David is survived by his wife, Nancy of almost 50 years and their children: Kathy (Todd) Tiesling, Sheri (Dean) Pierre, Sue (Greg) Goral, Bill Leiterman, and Jane (Keith) Piton. His grandchildren: Nick, Derek, and Bradley Pierre, Leah Goral, Alexa and Jake Leiterman, and Keegan Piton. He is also survived by his brother Bob (Donna) Leiterman, their children Mark and his children, Chelsey and Travis, and Joe (Missy) Leiterman, their daughter Sophia; mother-in-law Alice Janssen; brothers and sisters-in-law Donna (Earl) Thyssen , Pat Vickman, Barbara Janssen, Jack (Mary) Janssen, and Bob (Sue) Janssen, Aunt Dorothy Mae Wicker, and Uncles Clarence Geurts and Andrew Albers, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Viola, father-in-law Norbert Janssen and brother-in-law Bob Vickman. Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N.
