David "Sweetie" P. Reed-VanderZanden, 59, resident of Oneida, WI passed away on June 4, 2023. He was born on July 12, 1963 to George VanderZanden and Norine (Stevens) Wilbur in Green Bay, WI. David married Victoria Reed on June 6, 1997. He attended East High School.
David worked for Willems Landscaping for many years. After that, he worked in maintenance for Oneida Elderly Services.
David enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as volunteering at the Oneida Pantry, and being a firekeeper for fires for other members of the community. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria, as well as their children David J. (Michelle) Reed, Coleman (Magie) Reed, Cortney (Nuno) Reed. Grandchildren, David Andre, Antone, Mariah, Meya, Milano, Maliya, Mariana, Mia, Zaiden, Michael, Mikaela, Vincent, Taleeya, Yvongelis, Nayeli, great-grandchildren Maleeyah, Layla, Milo. Siblings, Bernie Stevens, Michael Stevens, George (Little Joe) VanderZanden. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Wanda (Raymond) Reed, Barbara (Daniel) Summers, Emerson Reed Jr., Peter (Amii) Reed, Billy (Michelle) Reed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George VanderZanden, Norine (Stevens) Wilbur, stepfather Orlin Wilbur, and father and mother-in-law Emerson and Rachael Reed. He is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law Elaine Reed, Emroy (Al) Reed, and Joseph Reed Sr., as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends and family may come to call on Saturday, June 10, at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere, WI from 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. The Oneida Hymn Singers will begin their song service at 5:30 P.M. A funeral service will immediatley follow, with Pastor Scotty Backhaus presiding.
