David G. Rhode, 83, of De Pere, passed away Friday evening, August 16, 2013. The son of the late George and Dorothy Rhode was born in MI December, 13, 1929. On July 25, 1953 he married the former Carol Sucharda at St. Joseph's in Oconto, WI. David proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He also was a member of Proctor and Gamble, retiring after 21 years of dedicated service. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful baker, and was known by his grandchildren as the "Cookie Grandpa". He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Carol, three children, Gail (Jack Siewert) Rhode, Scott Rhode, Bruce (Laura) Rhode; nine grandchildren, Jay (Karen) Wisneski, Chad (Michelle) Wisneski, Adam (Chrystal) Wisneski, Emily Wisneski (fianc Tyler Jonet), Kristie (Mike) Parpovich, Jenny (Matt) Beyers, Bruce Rhode Jr., Rhonda (Darren) Van Gheem, Vicki Greene; 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Edward Rhode.
