October 11, 1946 – July 9, 2024
David W. Servais, 77, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. He was born October 11, 1946, to the late Walter F. and Irene M. (Aland) Servais.
Dave was a 1964 graduate of De Pere High School and went on to college at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Madison.
While working for Northrup, King & Co. in Minneapolis, MN he met and married his wife, Kathy. They moved back to De Pere, WI to raise their family and Dave began a lifelong career as an insurance agent. He was known for his generosity, his gregarious outgoing personality, and his terrific storytelling. He enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, playing card games, fishing and giving his time and resources to good causes. Dave was involved with the Boy Scouts of America his entire life and contributed in Scouting leadership with Troop 1043 for over 20 years. He also found time to be a member of the De Pere Optimist Club and the Izaak Walton League.
He is survived by his wife; Kathy, his children; Dana A. (Laura) Boschee, Diann M. (Jorge) Rodriguez, Anthony D. Servais (fiancé Michelle), grandchildren; Kirk, Kyle, Sarah and Josie as well as his sister; Susan M. (Geoffrey) Anderson, and great nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters; Shirley Servais and Beverly Servais Aunts and Uncles; Clement (Carol) Aland, Evelyn (Cletus) Langley, Francis (Dolores) Aland. Dempsey Baker, Ervin Servais, Marvin (Joan) Servais, Gloria O'Brien, and Marion (Norbert) Grundhoeffer as well as his Aunt Bernice Baker.
Many thanks to his son, Tony for his constant loving kindness and his friend Larry who helped and looked in on Dave regularly.
Please join the family for a celebration of life on Saturday, August 10 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the De Pere Community Center, 600 Grant St., De Pere, WI 54115. A Eulogy will be delivered at 5:30 PM followed by memory sharing by attendees. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
