IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dawn Marie
Pearson
November 26, 1966 – January 11, 2025
Dawn Marie (Staniak) Pearson of Green Bay, WI, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2025, with her family by her side after a courageous three-month battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. She was born on November 26, 1966, in Rock Island, IL., to Carol (Kersten) Staniak and the late Allen Staniak.
Dawn graduated from Shiocton High School in 1985. She was employed at various places before deciding to work for Wesco Distribution, where she went on to work for 28 years. She always went above and beyond when it came to her job.
She married James Pearson on July 01, 2000, in Green Bay, WI. She loved to golf, dabble in gourmet cooking, and play cribbage. She would play four games a day during the week and eight games during the weekends; all year long. We would always keep a score board of all the games. She always disliked when I would say, "I am the champ!" Her comeback would be, "I don't care, I just like to play." She was a whiz at trivia. No one could beat her. Everyone always wanted her on their team. She always entertained at Green Bay Packer tailgates.
She is survived by her husband James Pearson of Green Bay, WI, son Charles Campbel (Jason Wetherbee), mother Carol Staniak, sisters Lynn (Steve) Ebaugh, Sue Staniak, Dianne (Michael) Drossart, Barb (Todd) Steward, brother Dale Staniak, and Aunt Maureen Staniak. She is further survived by her mother-in-law Karen Pearson, sisters in law Debbie (John) Powell, Teri (Ted) Budek, her pet babies Harper (Wiggle Butt) and Jewel (The Fuzzer), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her very much.
Dawn is preceded in death by her grandparents Johanna and Clarence Fink and Edwin and Jane Kersten, uncles Dick Staniak and Tom Kersten, Aunt Mary Kersten, and father-in-law James Pearson Sr.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the cancer team at Bellin Hospital, Unity Hospice, all the family members who helped her through this courageous battle, and friends Dennis and Mary Johnson.
A memorial service in Dawn's honor will be held at a later date.
