Dawn Marie Sawyer, 63, passed away on November 11th, 2023, after a brief but valiant fight with cancer, with her husband, son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren by her bedside. She was born in Green Bay, WI, on April 5th, 1960, to Robert and Jeanette (Westerfeld) Peterson.

She was born Dawn Marie Peterson and grew up in Suamico. She graduated from Bay Port High School.

She met her husband, Thomas E. Sawyer, while they were both working at Perkins on Military Ave. in Green Bay. They enjoyed vacationing in Florida and golfing together. She worked at Van's Honda in Green Bay for 32 years. She has three grandchildren who she loved with her very being and would tell them, "I love you to the moon and back."

Dawn is survived by her husband, Thomas E.; their son Thomas R. (Eryn); three grandchildren, Emerson, Thomson, and Hudson; her mother Jeanette Peterson-Kellam; her siblings Dixie (Chris) Mueller, Denise (Tim) Collette, Dale (Lynn) Peterson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Peterson and mother's second husband Jim Kellam.

Family and friends may call to Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere, WI 54115 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19th. A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 pm. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
