IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dean B.
Laflex

Dean LaFlex, age 63, resident of Green Bay passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Dean was born on November 8, 1959, the son of Arthur Jr. and Romain (Shuda) LaFlex.
Dean attended WestField High School. Then, he enrolled in college only to follow his musical passion and find his wife, Glory Alicea. He married Glory on Halloween in 1981. The majority of Dean's early career was spent cooking with his father at their restaurant. Dean was an excellent cook and delighted in cooking all his life. After his cooking career was finished, he enrolled into the ministry. He became the pastor of Faith Apostolic Church in Park Falls, WI.
As a pastor, Dean was drawn to the community and service to it. He had a devotion to the Lord and much like a shepherd tending his flock, Dean and his wife Glory fostered over thirty children and he adopted two daughters of his own. He cherished children and often was a safe harbor for them. Dean also instructed parenting classes in Oneida.
Dean was creative and had many passions which included his puppet ministry, he loved being artistic and had lots of projects, and of course he played music on the keyboard, bass guitar, and drums. He led a bible study and had a knack for teaching scripture finding the truth through the word of the Lord. Dean was dedicated to his family, community, and most importantly to the Glory of God.
He was a generous man and did all he could to help others. He was renowned for his chicken dumpling soup, "Love in a Bowl" as some called it. He made people feel welcome and shared his wisdom. Dean's humor, creativity, and faith will live on through and will be missed greatly by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Glory; children, Justin (Natalie) Battershield, Jason Battershield, Kayla (Mario) Barrueta, Mattanah (Andrew) LaFlex; grandchildren, Keira, Owen, Kellen, Gavin, Eden, Elena, Everly, Aria, McKinley, Connor; siblings, Joseph Todd (Edith), Scott Allen (Keith), and Dawn LaFlex; in-laws, Juan (Glynis) Alicea, Rafael Alicea, Ana (Ricardo) Balbuena, Hilda (Mike) Wisneski, and Tonya (Leon) Boucher; and many nieces and nephews.
