IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deanna Jean
Sullivan
December 8, 1956 – June 23, 2025
Deanna Jean Sullivan, 68, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on June 23, 2025, after a long battle with illness with her loving husband, Steve, by her side. She was born in Saginaw, MI on December 8, 1956, to the late George Preidis and Shirley Monett.
Deanna grew up in Republic, MI. She graduated from Republic Mighigamme High School in 1975. She married Steve Sullivan on July 27, 1974. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Deanna held many jobs in her early years. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 plus years until her retirement. Deanna had a knack for sewing and was the family seamstress. She hemmed pants, sewed buttons, fixed any rips or tears, and could whip up anything with her sewing machine. Her hobbies included baking, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed many vacations and dinners out. Her grandchildren Garrett and Zak were the light of her life. She loved watching them at all their sporting events and spoiling them rotten.
Deanna is survived by her loving husband, Steve, and her son, Jason (Jodi) Sullivan of De Pere, as well as her grandchildren, Garrett and Zak Sullivan, of De Pere. She is further survived by her siblings, Cindy Antilla (Bob Hendrickson) of Ishpeming, MI, Jack Mattila of Republic, MI, Sandra (James) Parsons of Marquette, MI, brother and sister-in-law Clark (Bobbi) Sullivan of Swartz Creek, MI, as well as other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law Giles (Kayo) and Marge Sullivan of Republic, MI.
As per Deanna's wished, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ER staff at St. Vincent Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Scleroderma Foundation.
