Debra Ann "Debbie" Bennin, 66, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 1, 2021. The daughter of John Sr. and Delores (Holzer) Chopich was born in Sheboygan on December 21, 1954. Debbie was a 1973 graduate of Sheboygan South. On September 18, 1976 she married Kevin Bennin at St. Peter Claver Church in Sheboygan. Family events were Debbie's favorite, and she and Kevin took annual trips to Arizona to visit friends. She enjoyed reading and movies, and looked forward to her shopping weekends with her best friend, Connie Wilke. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; children, Kimberly and Benjamin (Danielle) Bennin; grandchildren, Gage, Lucas, Evelyn and Brantley. Debbie is further survived by her brothers, John Jr. and Dennis Chopich; uncle, Norman Berg; niece, Kathy (Ben) Walczak; nephew Jon (Kayla) Chopich; and other members of her extended family. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. and Delores; sister-in-law, Barbara; as well as many aunts, uncles and other extended family members. Family and friends may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter Ambting, O.Praem. officiating. Burial will follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to the De Pere Rescue for their kindness and compassion, especially Officer Bagley.
