Deborah A.
Pullen
February 27, 1949 — June 2, 2026
Deborah "Deb" Pullen, 77, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, WI on June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and closest companions. Deb was born in Racine, WI, on February 27, 1949, to the late Eric and Ruby Lucht.
She spent her childhood growing up in both Racine and Florida. Her father Eric passed away when she was only three years old, a loss that helped shape the strength and resilience that would define her throughout her life. She was especially proud of her brothers, both of whom served as Marines during the Vietnam War. She later mourned the loss of her mother, Ruby, in 1996.
While working at Walker Manufacturing in Racine, Deb met the love of her life, Lew, thanks in part to Lew's mother, whose encouragement helped bring them together. Deb and Lew built a life rooted in love, friendship, and family. They welcomed two sons while living in Racine and, in 1976, made the decision to move north to Bonduel, purchasing a small hobby farm. Their goal was simple: to provide a safer, more wholesome, and enjoyable place for their boys to grow up.
Life on the hobby farm brought many adventures, animals, and cherished memories. Their sons were active in 4-H, and the family embraced the values of hard work, community, and togetherness that became hallmarks of their lives.
Deb dedicated many years to serving as an instructional aide in the Bonduel and Shawano School Districts. She possessed a special gift for working with children, particularly those with autism. Her patience, compassion, and understanding touched the lives of countless students and families over the years. Deb continued her work at Saint Norbert College in De Pere, WI. She worked in Conference and Events Services for 16 years prior to her retirement in 2015. Everywhere Deb worked, she made long-lasting relationships that continued for many years to come.
Deb and Lew shared a love of travel, enjoying vacations to Florida, the country of Denmark, and numerous bus trips together. Along the way, they formed many treasured friendships that enriched their lives and brought them great joy.
Throughout her life, Deb demonstrated remarkable courage and determination. Her family was incredibly proud of the way she battled cancer time and again, drawing upon her Danish tenacity and unwavering will to survive. After successfully overcoming her cancers, she ultimately succumbed to a severe blood infection. During her brief stay in the ICU, she was surrounded by her loving family, many dear friends, and her faithful dog, Cooper—a blessing that brought comfort to all who loved her.
Deb will be remembered as the matriarch of her family. Nothing was more important to her than those she loved. Her devotion, guidance, and unconditional support created a legacy that will continue through generations. She also leaves behind many very special friends who meant the world to her and whose friendships she cherished deeply.
Deb is survived by her husband and best friend of more than 55 years, Lew; her sons, Kevin (Liz) and Jeff (Toni); grandchildren, Delia, Ellie, Brett, Reive (Abby), and Harper; great-granddaughters, Amelia and Arlene; special children, Mason and Quinn; brothers, Eric and John (Pam); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Ruby Lucht; her sisters-in-law, Elaine and Gail; and Lew's parents Edward and Vera Pullen.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for their great care and compassion they showed Deb while in the ICU. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
Though she is no longer with us, Deb's love, strength, kindness, and devotion to family will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
