Delmar (Del) Linders, 80, of Winter Haven, FL, died Monday evening January 2, 2012 at home with hospice care and family by his side. Born in West De Pere, WI on May 19, 1931 he moved to Winter Haven, FL in 1990. He was the son of Henry and Anna (Raymaker) Linders. On September 4, 1954, he married Ruth M. Blackburn of Tustin, WI at St. Boniface Catholic Church, De Pere, WI. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL. Del retired as an elementary school teacher from Denmark Public Schools in January, 1990, after twenty two years. He was also the first Reading Specialist in the Denmark Schools. Additionally, he has been employed by Milprint in De Pere, West De Pere Public Schools, and Progress Plastics, Auburndale, FL. Del was a life member of Post 2113, De Pere, WI of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also held membership in the International Reading Association, Wisconsin State Reading Association, Marine Corp League, Knights of Columbus Council 2608, Winter Haven and the Wisconsin Retired Educators Association. Mr. Linders attended St. Boniface Grade School, St. Norbert High School and St. Norbert College. He graduated from Outagamie County Teachers College, Kaukauna, WI in 1969. He received a Bachelor of Science-Education, 1972, and a Master of Arts-Reading, 1975, from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Del loved cruising, walking, cooking and gardening. He is survived by wife Ruth, daughters Judy Endow, Madison, and Nancy Pamperin, Green Bay; two sons, Thomas F. Linders (Lisa) , Manitowoc and Timothy "Tim" Linders (Judi), Green Bay; four grandsons, David, Paul, Daniel Endow, and Jacob Pamperin; two step-granddaughters, Amber and Nicole Willems; one step-great granddaughter, Madison Maes. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Roger, Ignatius "Spike", and Aloysius "Al", and one sister, Rita Kinnard, one grandson, Scott Linders and one step-grandson, Brandon Maes.
