IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis "Denny" P.
Mccormack
May 20, 1945 – March 11, 2025
Dennis "Denny" Patrick McCormack, 79, Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, after a 25-year battle with cancer. Denny was born on May 20, 1945, in Green Bay, to the late James Franklin and Kathleen Bishop (Donohue) McCormack. He attended De Pere High School where he lettered in four sports and graduated in 1963. He was honored by the Boy Scouts by becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow. Denny received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Americas in Mexico followed by graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma.
Denny proudly served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and was a Bronze Star recipient.
Denny had an adventurous spirit and moved his family to Post Falls, Idaho where he became co-owner of Boersma-McCormack Insurance. During his years in Post Falls, he was co-chairman of the United Way and received the Business Man of the Year award from the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce. Boersma-McCormack Insurance and the families associated with them later moved to Mesa, Arizona where the business continued successfully until 2006 when Denny retired.
Both before and after his retirement, Denny loved hunting, fishing, and golf. His love for these things took him all over the world from the Artic Circle to Argentina. In 2017, he flew on the Old Glory Honor flight for veterans to Washington D.C.
Denny is survived by his wife of 54 years Linda McCormack; daughters, Shelly (Jerry) Shown and Shannon "Abby" (John) LeClair; grandchildren, Rosalynn (Trevor), Carter (Caygan), Wesley, Eli, Justus, Hayden, J.D., Cooper, and Annabeth; two step-grandchildren, John and Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Callahan and Clarke; as well as brothers Jim (Tracy), Jerry (Rita), and Tyler (Kathy).
