IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dolores
Burt
March 2, 1931 – August 29, 2025
Dolores L. Burt, 94, De Pere, passed away of natural causes on Friday afternoon, August 29, 2025, at her home.
She was born March 2, 1931, daughter of the late John and Marie (Thyssen) Manders.
On March 19, 1952, she was united in marriage to Linden Burt.
Dolores worked on the family farm alongside Linden while raising their children. Her journey continued to the De Pere Locks where she lived with Linden when he accepted his Lockmaster position. She was an excellent cook and baker, especially her homemade pies! Dolores was an avid Brewers fan as well as The Pink Flamingos, which named her "Most Valuable Fan" in 2023. Never one to sit still very long, Dolores was always keeping herself busy, whether going to the grandkid's events, taking a walk, or just talking to family. At 94 Dolores was told she was a "Doctor's Dream" because of how active she was, and her great memory for dates, names and events.. Her favorite time though was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Barb Johnson, Karen (Tom) Swink, Robin (Ed) Lewis, Randy (Lois) Burt, Pam (Gerald) Van Den Elzen, Michelle (Steve) Hartstern, and Kevin (Stephanie) Burt. Grandchildren; Kim, Scott, Sally, Jeremy, Amanda, Samantha, Robert, Cearra, and Carissa. Great grandchildren; Mikayla, Hope, Paige, Brett, Jersie, Jacob, Emma, Dakota, Piper, Carter, and Valerie. Siblings; Mary Lou Van Kauwenberg, Betty Allen and sister-in-law Betty Manders-Weyers, as well as members of Linden's family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Linden in 2017, her parents, son-in-law Roger Johnson, and siblings; Sam (Audrey) Manders, John Manders, Fred Manders, and brothers-in-law John Van Kauwenberg, and Stuart Allen as well as members of Linden's family.
