Dolores "Liz" Carlson, 92, De Pere, died Monday morning, February 6, 2017 at a local nursing home. She was born May 18, 1924 in Bonduel to the late William and Helen (Popp) Westphal. On October 22, 1949 she married Ken Carlson at St. Paul Lutheran, Bonduel. Liz had various jobs throughout her life, and worked at Custom Floors in De Pere lastly, a job she greatly enjoyed. After retirement she volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul. Liz was a longtime active member of Hope Lutheran, De Pere. Being a wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma brought her the greatest joy.
She is survived by her children; Greg (Tia) Carlson, Keith Carlson, Bob (Elaine) Carlson, and Rick (Terry) Carlson, her 6 grandchildren; Troy (Molly), Andrew (Bethany) Lindsay, Ally, Brian, and Michael, as well as her 5 great grandchildren; Arabella, Katherine, Isaac, William, and Cora. Liz's sister in law Regis Westphal as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ken in 2005, her siblings; Wilmar (Martha) Westphal, Lother Westphal, Delilah (Guy) Thompson, and Ken's family; Marvin (Hazel) Carlson, Arthur (Ruth) Carlson, and Floyd (Ellie) Carlson.
Friends may call at Hope Lutheran Church 700 S. Superior Street, De Pere after 9:00AM on Friday February 10, 2017 until time of service at 11:00AM with Pastor Matthew Baye officiating burial in Ft. Howard Cemetery.
