Dolores Silbernagel 91 passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at a local hospital. Born in Manitowoc, WI. on September 22, 1919 daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Wondrash) Teteak. On May 1, 1948 she married Norman Silbernagel at St. Francis Church in De Pere. She attended Lena High School graduating with the class of 1936. She attended Milwaukee Vocational School and worked for Civil Service as an army inspector for A.A.F. in Chicago. She was a member of St. Joseph, later Our Lady of Lourdes Church. As an active parish member she was the founder of the Mission Ladies Group in 1961, retiring in 2001after 40 years. For 11 years she was an employee of Salathes Bakery, later Reiners in De Pere. Dolores was a volunteer for Saint Vincent DePaul, Rennes Health Center, for funeral dinners and as a Mobile Meal Volunteer from St. Mary's Hospital. She loved to cook and bake and was noted for her soups and desserts. She enjoyed world travels to Israel, Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal, Our Lady of Lourdes in France, Rome, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Hawaii.
Survived by daughter Leah (Richard) Squires of Monument, Colorado, brother and sister in law Vernon and Rita Silbernagel, nephew Joe and Tara Silbernagel, many cousins and friends. Very special friends Mary Kay and Jim Sanders and Jan Boutelle, and of course her extended family at Renaissance.
Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere on Wednesday June 15, 2011 after 1pm until the Mass of Christian Burial at 3pm with Fr.
