IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald Eugene
Bartolazzi
April 8, 1942 – October 20, 2024
Donald Eugene Bartolazzi, 82, Green Bay, WI, passed away into eternity Sunday, October 20th, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's, in his home surrounded by loved ones.
Don was born on April 8, 1942, to Peter and Marge Bartolazzi, of Auburn, IL. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1961 to 1966. Don displayed his superior athletic abilities when playing college football for Western Illinois in 1966. This is where he met Barbara Fisher, one of the pompon girls. It was a match made in heaven and they were married 3 months later on December 19th, 1966.
The couple moved to Wisconsin where they raised their 7 children in homes Don built for them, primarily in the Pulaski School district. He provided for his family by building and selling homes, and passed those skills on to his children, who are all happily married and have blessed Don & Barb, after nearly 58 years of marriage, with 36 grandchildren plus 24 great-grandchildren and counting!
Don's family was his pride and joy, but his passion was his faith. His motto was "Viva Christo Rey", and he knew that where Jesus Christ is King, His sweet Mother Mary is queen. Don acknowledged the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church as the One established by Christ Himself, and he died in the bosom of that Church after having received Last Rites and the Apostolic Blessing.
Don is survived by his wife, Barbara and children Bonni (Kirk) Kanzenbach, Silver Cliff; Brian (Keri) Bartolazzi, De Pere; Dirk (Danielle) Bartolazzi, De Pere; Dina (Greg) DeGroot, Suamico; Dani (Matt) Mayer, Ledgeview; Beth (Travis) Relyea, Allouez; Ben (Jenny) Bartolazzi, Ledgeview; his Grandchildren: Rebecca Kanzenbach, William (Laura) Kanzenbach (6 great grands), Regina (Joe) Connolly (4 great grands), Joseph (Mallory) Kanzenbach (2 great grands). Christina (Andy) Tobias (2 great grands), Peter (Bernadette) Kanzenbach (3 great grands), JoAnna (Adam) Mihalski (1 great grand), Teresa (Jacob) Mihalski (2 great grands), John, James, Sophia, Michael Kanzenbach, Shawn (Kayla) Bartolazzi (2 great grands), Tyler (Andrea) Bartolazzi, and Justin (Jenna) Bartolazzi., Dominik, Danica, Delanna, Damian, Donovan, and Deanna Bartolazzi, Bridget, Bernadette, Diana, Emma, Bobby, Evelyn DeGroot, Taylor, Amber, Ashton, Logan Mayer, Brodie, Valetta, Mila, Bronson Bartolazzi, and his older brother, Peter Bartolazzi, Kaukauna
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother, David Bartolazzi, sister-in-law, Mary Dee Bartolazzi, and one grandchild, Tommy Mayer.
The Bartolazzi Family would like to offer their most sincere gratitude to the staff at Unity Hospice, especially his wonderful, caring nurse, Ashley, for all she did for the past year and a half.
