Donald J. Hart, 86, of De Pere, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Don was born July 13, 1926 in Askeaton, the son of the late Peter and Lillian (Wall) Hart. On October 13, 1949 at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute he married the former Joan Jansen. She preceded him in death on May 28, 1994. Don served his country in the US Navy and then served in the Naval Reserves. He retired as a Captain at the Green Bay Correctional Facility then after retirement he went to work at Kelly Photo. Don was a member of the Hibernian Club and Elk's Lodge. Don is survived by his three children: Patrick (Yvonne) Hart, of De Pere, Ann (Mark) Kusniesz, of De Pere, and Thomas (Kristen) Hart, of Columbus; eight grandchildren: Beth (Steve), Jim (Jennifer), Katie (Ariel), Jessica (Jason), Cristy (Warren), Danny (Becky), Michael, Dylan, and Katarina; nine great grandchildren: Amanda and Brooke Kugel, Austin Smits, Nathan Schneider, Brady, Conner, and Layla Hart, and Thomas and Sarah Rabus. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joan, daughter Jeanne, and great grandson Blake. Family and friends may visit on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Visitation will continue on Tuesday after 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Richard Getchel at 11am.
