Obituary

Donna M. (Murray) Garrity, 84, Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1938 to the late Harold and Theresa (Van Den Plas) Murray. On February 23, 1957 she was united in marriage to George Garrity Jr. Donna attended St. Phillip Catholic School, St. Joseph Academy, and Preble High School. She worked San Luis Nursing Home for over 50 years bookkeeping and accounting. She was proud of the fact she retired more than once, being asked to come back and serve numerous times.

Donna was a proud member of the BDC, she enjoyed her many trips with her family to the sporting dog field trials, gaining numerous bonds and friendships with co-members. She was commonly known to all as Mom or Grandma. She also enjoyed spending time at St. Phillips Church playing bingo. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family and knitting.

She was fortunate to share an everlasting love with her husband George and touched everyone that she met.

Donna is survived by her children Cynthia (Richard) Maufort, Robert (Lisa) Garrity, Lisa Lappen, Beth (Scott) Luedeman, Glenn (Tania) Garrity, 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law Jim (Lorna) Nader, Patrick Garrity, and Don (Helen) Vande Hei. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Bitzy (Boo), Georgie Girl, and Willow.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, Harold and Theresa Murray, granddaughter Isabella, her son-in-law, Perry Lappen, her siblings Billy Murray, Jack (Mary Lou) Murray, Mary (Richard) Daniels-Nader, nieces and nephews Steven Daniels, Kathy Bartel, and Tari Witkowiak, as well as her inlaws, George and Helen Garrity, James (Betty) Garrity, Robert (Mary) Garrity, and sister-in-law Andy Garrity.

Friends and family may come to call on Monday, June 26, 2023 at St. Phillip Catholic Church at 312 Victoria Street, Green Bay, from 9:30 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M with Fr. Jaun Zárate officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be directed to the Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation in Donna's name.
