Donna M. Hooyman, 85, De Pere, was called home on Saturday morning December 30, 2017. She was born July 1, 1932 in De Pere to the late Walter and Mae (Meier) Schaus. On February 7, 1953 she married Jim Hooyman at Saints. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Green Bay. Donna was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. Family was everything to her, and Donna was always so supportive of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grand dogs. Donna's support for her son Scotty and his gifts he brought to the entire family was one of her main blessings she brought. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading painting and writing, and especially the time spent with Jim sitting on the back deck watching their backyard animal friends.
Donna is survived by her children; Nancy (Brian) Kielpikowski, Linda (Jerry) Maleport, Carrie (Jim Rogers) Hooyman, as well as her grandchildren; Tammy (Doug) Heim, Matt (Abby) and Brad Maleport, Brian Balza, and Jeremy Pasterski.Six great grandchildren; Megan, Hunter, Madison, Lucas, Wesley and Jovy. Donna's sister, Mary Juley, brother in law Richard (Barbara) Hooyman as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Cal (Dick) Buntman and Shayna and Nathan survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Scott, one brother Roger (Marie) Schaus and brother in law Robert Juley, as well as sisters in law Helen (Richard) Hansford, and Dorothy (Orville) Leiterman preceded her in death as well.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM – 7:00PM Tuesday January 2, 2018. Visitation will continue after 9:00AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.
