Donna Marie (Van Den Eng) Roes, 63, of De Pere, passed away from cancer at home on Friday evening October 18, 2013. The daughter of Joseph (deceased) and Mary (Van Den Berg) Van Den Eng was born May 16, 1950 in Green Bay. She married Ed Roes on July 21, 1978. She attended grade school at Immaculate Conception and graduated from Freedom High School. She had previously worked at San Luis Nursing Home and Prange Distribution Center. When she was diagnosed, she was doing what she liked best- caring for kids in her home. She loved them like they were her own. She enjoyed watching the Packers, car races, rip-offs tickets, and the weekly sign-in. What she loved the most was spending time with her family and friends.
Donna leaves behind her husband, Ed, one daughter, Laurel (Mark) Jacobs, one son, Joe (Jen Gordon) Roes, grandchildren, Alexa, Jack, and Charlie Jacobs, Kayla Patino, Kyle Balke, and Colten Roes. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Owen and Noah Patino.
Also surviving is Donna's Mom, Mary Van Den Eng, her siblings, JoAnn Hebert, Rich and Jan Van Den Eng, Barb and Dan Geurts, Diane and Jeff Van Asten, Tom and Meta Van Den Eng, Theresa and Gary Kortz, and Paul and Tracie Van Den Eng. Her mother-in-law, Alice Roes (Victor Roes, deceased), brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave Roes, Randy and Debbie Roes, John Roes, Sue and Kevin Winters, Don Roes, and Al and Bobbi Roes. Donna also had many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was proud godmother to her nieces Hope Lax, Emmy Geurts, and Jackie Van Den Eng.
Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday October 22, 2013. Parish Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Freedom Road, Oneida from 10:00 until time of service.
