Doris Caroline (Kussow) Boncher died peacefully Saturday evening with family at her side. The daughter of the late Edgar and Esther (Rasmussen) Kussow was born March 3, 1922 in Wrightstown, WI. Doris married Austin M. Boncher on November 11, 1940. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1997. They happily farmed for forty years along with her mother and father. A beautiful and compassionate lady, Doris enjoyed her days lovingly caring for and socializing with many family and friends.
Doris is survived by her children, Austin and Judith Boncher, Appleton; Karen and Sheldon Knoespel, (granddaughter Gabrielle) Lansing, MI; Sharon (Boncher) and Ron Fletcher, Green Bay; Jane and James Lambert, Green Bay; Robert Boncher and Ann Kohler, Neenah; Greg and Grace Boncher, De Pere. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Michael Boncher, Amy Boncher, Jada and James Paisley (Brandon and Jacob), Brett and Brenda Knoespel, Deirdre and Ken Heckman, Dina and Ken Destiche (Madeline, Johnathon and Gracie) Katie Boncher Parma (Austin and Jack), Jessica and Ted Genske (Lauren and Colin), Amanda and Andrew Zich (Bo), Mollie and Robert Sikorski (Rilee), Stephanie and Mike Mauthe (Chase), Scott Boncher and Rochelle Biermann, Ben and
Alaina Boncher (Savannah and Issac), Joe and Lisa Boncher.
Doris is also survived by one brother-in-law, Ralph Cormier, Green Bay. Additionally Doris will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, many friends in her life's journeys and a special cousin and friend, Vernon Kussow. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Austin, her parents, her sons David, Richard and Jack, brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Viola Kussow, one sister-in-law, Lynette Cormier.
Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church, 1700 Lost Dauphin Road, De Pere on Thursday May 21, 2009, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. A service in Celebration of Doris' Life will be held at 11:30 am Thursday at the church with the Revs. Andrea and Brian Cain officiating. Burial on Thursday afternoon in Lawrence Cemetery.
