Dorothy Ninham, 67 of Milwaukee passed away on Sunday May 23, 2010. She was born May 15, 1943 to the late Omer and Irene (Swamp) Ninham. Dorothy loved to go to rummage sales and collect owl figurines. She also liked to do bead work and do native crafts, and going to Pow Wows, while helping her Menominee family blaze a trail.
She is survived by her sisters; Mary Jane Summers, Milwaukee, Elaine (John) Miller, Florida, Marcia (Jerry) Sanapaw, Keshena, her brothers; Anderson (Pandy) Ninham, Milwaukee, and Benjamin Ninham, Keshena. A sister in law; Mary Ninham, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers and sisters; Elmer, Louis, Abraham "Butchie", Elizabeth, John, Lynn (Cookie), Michael and Eugene "Pumpkin", as well as her brother in law Gilbert Summers.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 4 8pm on Wednesday. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm followed by a parish prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Thursday at the funeral home until the procession leaves for church at 10am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Oneida with Rev. Kristina Henning officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
