Obituary

Douglas R. Humblet, 74, of De Pere died unexpectedly May 1, 2015 at a local hospital. The son of the late Lloyd and Helen (Elst) Humblet was born February 22, 1941 in Shawano. Doug was a graduate of De Pere High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married the former Yvonne Ver Kuilen at St. Joseph Church in De Pere. Doug was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to hunt and fish and was always quick with a joke. There was nothing he couldn't design and build and loved to share his knowledge with those around him. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne, one son, Brian (Jennifer) Humblet, grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Lucas, step grandchildren, Jace and Mitchell, one sister, Joyce Weitzel. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette Van Zeeland, one brother, Don Humblet. Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday May 3, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
