Duane Thomas Bogner, 74, of De Pere, WI was born in Toulon, IL to Louis and Lucile (Doyle) Bogner. He spent his early years on the family farm in Henry, IL. Duane met his partner, Bill Eiler, of 37 years in Phoenix, AZ. He passed under hospice care at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, WI on May 11, 2021.
He graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. After college he moved to Newport Beach, California where he taught chemistry at Irvine College. After teaching himself computer science, he moved to Phoenix, AZ where he worked for the First Interstate Bank IT department. Moving to De Pere, WI, he taught college level computer programing for one year after which he worked in the IT Dept for Shopko USA Inc, until retiring.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lucile Bogner.
He is survived by his partner, Bill Eiler; brother, Dean (Carol) Bogner, Henry, IL; two sisters, Carol "Bogie" Bogner, Boulder, CO and Loraine (Mark) Perlen, Lincolnwood, IL; two nephews, Drew (Lindsay) Bogner, Henry, IL, and Riley (Clare) Perlen, Chicago, IL; four nieces, Lindsay Perlen, Portland, OR, Kara Perlen, Lincolnwood, IL, Chelsea (Steven) Stern, Charleston, IL, and Chareen Bogner, St Louis, MO; three great nieces and five great nephews.
A gathering will take place at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 N. 10th Street, De Pere, WI on Saturday, May 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Paul's Pantry, Inc., 1513 Leo Frigo Way, Green Bay, WI 54302.
