Obituary

Edward ("Ed," "Eddie,") Rocco Budice Jr. (age 45), died unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. He was born January 22, 1966 to Mary "Rags" Cornelius (Neenah), and the late Edward R. Budice Sr. (Chicago). Edward lived with his family, in Chicago until he was 11 years old at which time they moved to the Neenah/Menasha area, where he graduated from Neenah High School. Edward became a professional Industrial Sandblaster & Industrial Painter, and had his own business. Edward ran a Limousin business during his off season and escorted many famous Packer Players around the state and various high rollers from casino to casino. He lived in Aspen and Telluride Colorado, for many years, and became a professional Bull Rider, as well. Edward enjoyed being physically fit and liked to body build. He also liked to train others in the sport. He began to be a body guard from time to time, and spoke of some famous people for which he worked. He also learned to be a chef while in Colorado and prepared weight loss meals for private clients and also worked at some high end spa type restaurants in the area. Edward loved the life in Colorado. Edward loved his dogs, which were "the kids." They went everywhere with him. He is survived by three of his dogs, Nibbles, Kid, and Buster. He was preceded in death by his dog Bo whom he tried desperately to save from a severe illness. He rescued three of his dogs as strays in need of immediate medical care and one from a rescue shelter. Other than his dogs, Edward was an eternal bachelor, vowing never to settle down. He went where his work took him. He was too much of a free spirit to be tied down to a traditional family. Edward was getting ready to go on his next adventure to Sandiego, California, where he was going to housesit for a friend, who had a new house on the beach. Edward enjoyed playing golf and was eager to take his clubs with him. He planned on getting plenty of use out of them. On a list of things to do for his trip was found one special notation. It said,"say good bye to Bill and wish him well." He and his brother often did not see eye to eye, but he loved him and wanted the best for him all the same. Edward is survived by his mother, one brother William "Bill" Budice (Appleton) and his niece Maya Woller (Menasha). Edward is further survived by his maternal aunt, Dorthy Tabor (Arizona), his maternal uncle Dempsy (Marie) Cornelius (Neenah). Many close cousins and friends. Two especially close friends: Sue (Scott) Atkinson (Neenah), and Dan Schreurs (Kimberly). He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Delia (House) and Harvey Cornelius (Oneida); maternal uncles: Leo (Lorainne Buhrnam) Cornelius (Green Bay), William (Gerry) Cornelius (Neenah), and Hayward (Mary Ann) Cornelius (Milwaukee); maternal aunts: Rebecca (Kenneth) House (Chicago), Ruth (House) Grover (Chicago), Margie (House) Antos (Chicago); and two cousins, Ingrid Grover (Chicago), and Harvey Zember (Menasha). Friends can call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere after 9am Saturday March 19, 2011. A funeral service celebrating Edward's life will be held at 11am with Deacon Deborah Heckel officiating. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 10:30am.
