Edward John (Jack) Ambrosius, 90, passed away on December 12th, 2020. Jack was born on May 24th, 1930 to William and Marie (Hartjes) Ambrosius in De Pere, WI.
He graduated from West De Pere High School, class of 1948. Jack served in the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. After his return, he married Patricia Patton on May 29th, 1954. Together they raised 7 children while caring for Patricia's father, Edward.
Jack is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia, their children; Alan (Carla) Ambrosius, Bonnie (Shaun) Guhl, Nancy Remington, Brian (Anne) Ambrosius, Ken (Michelle) Ambrosius, Mary (George) Blohowiak, and John (Teresa) Ambrosius, as well as 13 grandchildren; David Ambrosius, Anthony, Patricia, Victoria Charlier, Kristina (Matthew) Schendel and their father, Thomas Charlier, Martin and Deanna Guhl, Theodore, Morgan and Paige Ambrosius, Sarah Ambrosius, Joseph and Matthew Ambrosius, many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by sisters; Callista Buntman, Rosemarie (Gary) Pollatz, and brother, William Ambrosius Jr. Sisters-in-law, Bea Ambrosius and Shirley Ambrosius. Surviving from Patricia's family; sisters-in-law Rosemary Manning and Lucille Patton. Brother-in-law, Clifford Berg.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two infant grandson's, George and Jesse, and son-in-law, Glenn Remington. Sisters; Lucinda (Gerald) Richardson, Elaine (Nick) Webb. Brother, Roy (Pud) Ambrosius and sister-in- law, Lois (Jo) Ambrosius. Sisters and Brothers-in-law; Edith (Levi) Carter, Catherine (Joseph) Vercauteren, Dan (Tillie) Patton, Joe Patton, Margaret (Ed) Wallschleager, Earl (Marguerite)Patton, Dorothy Berg, Florence (Antoine) Servais and Richard Buntman.
Jack was not only a son, brother, husband, and father, he was a force to be reckoned with. Larger than life for a small man, he was a teacher, coach, leader, delivery man, cheerleader, and a great example of how to live life. We'll miss you!

A public visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish 220 S Michigan St, De Pere, WI on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:15 am. A private Mass of Christian Burial for close friends and family will be beginning at 11:30 am with Rev. Michael Ingold officiating.
